Take an early mountain flight toward Lukla. During busy trekking seasons, flights may operate from Ramechhap/Manthali rather than central Kathmandu, requiring an early road transfer. Nepal High Trek also warns that peak-season Lukla flights may be diverted through Manthali.

After meeting the porter team in Lukla, begin trekking downhill through Chaurikharka and alongside the Dudh Koshi River toward Phakding.

Continue through pine forests and Sherpa settlements, passing Monjo and entering Sagarmatha National Park. Cross several suspension bridges above the Dudh Koshi before making the long uphill climb to Namche Bazaar.

On clear days, the trail provides the first distant glimpses of Mount Everest.

Spend an essential acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. Follow the principle of hiking higher during the day before returning to a lower sleeping elevation.

A popular hike leads toward the Everest View Hotel and Khumjung area, with views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and surrounding peaks.

Both major reference itineraries you supplied retain a dedicated acclimatization day at Namche rather than rushing directly higher.

Follow a beautiful high trail overlooking the Dudh Koshi valley with outstanding views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam.

Descend toward the river before climbing through rhododendron forest to Tengboche. Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in the Khumbu region.

Continue through Deboche and Pangboche while Ama Dablam dominates the skyline. The vegetation gradually becomes thinner as you enter the alpine zone.

After crossing the Imja Khola, ascend gradually to Dingboche, a beautiful high-altitude settlement surrounded by stone-walled fields.

A second acclimatization day is included before climbing above 4,500 metres.

Weather and fitness permitting, take a gradual hike onto the ridge above Dingboche for spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Makalu and the Imja Valley.

Return to Dingboche for rest and hydration.

The reference operators similarly retain Dingboche as the second major acclimatization stop.

Trek through the broad Khumbu valley toward Thukla. From here, climb steeply to the memorial area dedicated to climbers who lost their lives in the Everest region.

Continue through increasingly rugged terrain toward Lobuche beneath the massive Himalayan peaks.

This is the major objective of the trek.

Walk from Lobuche alongside the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep. After a short rest and meal, continue across rocky glacial terrain toward Everest Base Camp.

Celebrate reaching the base of the world’s highest mountain while surrounded by the Khumbu Icefall, Nuptse, Pumori and the dramatic glacier landscape.

Return to Gorak Shep before nightfall.

Wake early for the climb to Kala Patthar, one of the most celebrated viewpoints in the Everest region. From the summit area, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori and the Khumbu Glacier.

Return to Gorak Shep and, subject to safe flying conditions, board a shared helicopter toward Kathmandu, normally involving operational stops or routing adjustments when required.

After breakfast, return to Pokhara by tourist transportation. A domestic flight upgrade can also be offered.
